Our client is a leading engineering company specialising in the design, optimisation, and supply of decarbonisation solutions for the maritime industry. With expertise in wing propulsion, foiling, and flight control systems, they are revolutionizing sustainability within the maritime and shipping sector. As they continue to redefine the industry, our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Structural Analysis Engineer to join their team.
In this senior role, you will take the lead in structural analysis for current and future projects, working alongside industry experts to develop new methodologies and toolsets. You will play a crucial role in improving correlation with physical data from existing components, supporting the development of cutting-edge products that will shape the future of the maritime industry.

Key responsibilities:
Derive suitable load cases and targets using first principles, prior experiences, and relevant documentation. Work within an integrated, multi-disciplinary design and development team to ensure proposed design solutions meet required load cases. Support pre-contract and concept generation through feasibility analysis. Adhere to analysis procedures and clearly record analysis results. Lead and develop junior team members. Perform hand calculations for mechanical fixings, inserts, and bonded joints. Create and run stress analysis simulations within NX SimCentre. Analyze simulation results and provide comprehensive post-processing. Support correlation activities with physical testing and validation. Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. Extend analysis capability within your specialism. Contribute to continual improvement of analysis processes and tools. Support business development activities and create customer proposals. Monitor analysis plans and progress for assigned projects. Manage external CAE resource in coordination with line manager.
Key requirements:
Degree in mechanical, automotive, marine, or aerospace engineering. Extensive experience in stress simulation, including implicit, fatigue, linear, and non-linear analysis. Experience with both metallic and composite structures. Proficiency in FEM for shell and solid structures. Strong skills in classical hand calculations. Practical experience in physical testing and correlation (beneficial). Knowledge of Siemens SimCenter or similar packages (Hyperworks suite, ncode, FEMFAT, LS-Dyna, NASTRAN, FEMAP). Working knowledge of TeamCenter and Siemens NX (advantageous). Share
