We currently have an exciting opportunity for experienced and motivated leaders with knowledge and experience of successfully delivering a range of skills related to one of Quick Release's areas of offering within various industries (including Automotive, Rail, Aerospace, Defence and Space, Energy). These areas of offering, within different areas of Expertise, include: 

  • Master Product Data (MPD) e.g. BoM Management, Releasing Change, Product Specification. 
  • Prototype Build and Launch Operations (PBL) e.g. Supply Chain Operations (aka SCM), Material Planning & Logistics, Test and Build. 
  • Production, Service and Maintenance (PSM) e.g. Compliance and Certification, Through-life Support, Product and Aftermarket Sourcing. 
  • Operational Performance Improvement (OPI) e.g. Operational Efficiency, Data Governance and Assurance, Data Stewardship. 
  • Enterprise Lifecycle Transformation (ELT) e.g. Business Transformation, PDM and Enterprise Diagnostic. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development and deployment of services within one of the areas of offering, providing the best-in-class services to our clients. You will define the development pathways for our specialists within the offering area and support other offering areas, as well as reporting out financial and technical reports for the assessment of services you're responsible for. 

The ideal candidate will have experience with senior stakeholder management, technical capabilities, experience of project delivery, pre-sales technical capability (the ability to help define solutions to problems), be great at building relationships and also the ability to lead, motivate and inspire a team of specialists. 

What you’ll do_ 

  • Lead the development of Services within one of the areas of offering within the Service Offering framework, and lead the deployment of service delivery on projects in accordance with best practices. 
  • Ensure that services are commercially available, leading multi-service sales opportunities for services within your remit. 
  • Reviewing and aligning customer and industry needs with services being developed and delivered with your areas of responsibility. Reviewing new services and services to be discontinued. 
  • Lead the professional development of specialists for services, supporting other areas of offering, building positions for services where applicable. 
  • Ensuring specialists are collaborating with colleagues to create world class services. 
  • Lead the development of knowledge material and service assets (including Pathways, Playbooks & Knowledge Modules) within your area of responsibility, collaborating with other Senior Service Managers and departments to share best practice. 
  • Be responsible for content development and Services deployment applicability for services within your area of offering. 
  • Run x-Service engagements, being actively involved in Service Community activities. Ensuring all services with your offering area are fully engaged and active. 
  • Define reporting mechanisms for services to report out project Quality Assurance and KPIs to meet global reporting requirements, by leading the creation and review of financial and technical reports assessing Services. 
  • Reviewing the performance of services and lead the review of project delivery to provide Quality Assurance to Project Managers, gathering feedback from the business on the results of service delivery. 
  • Engage with Sales/Accounts teams to support business development and with projects teams to build delivery frameworks. 
  • Advise projects on their delivery setup and engagement, supporting project delivery. 
  • Providing insights to the Service team for the continuous improvement of services being delivered, including other services in the industry and the key differentiators to QR's USP. 
  • Actively support deployment of digital products on projects delivering Services, and contribute to the development of new/updated features into Digital Products, supporting and collaborating with Product Owners to automate Services delivery. 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of technical experience delivering at least three services within one of Quick Release's areas of offering (QR_ Expertise (quickrelease.co.uk)  
  • Have experience of working with senior (C-Suite level) stakeholders and be able to talk to clients knowledgably at a technical level about services within one of the areas of offering. 
  • Self motivated with the ability to excite, build and lead a team that works together to achieve their goals. 
  • Ability to work with senior members of the QR team and support other areas of our business. 
  • Have a curious mindset to keep up to date with industry changes and improvements in order to provide the betterment of services developed and delivered. 

Not essential – but extra dose of awesome if you have_ 

  • Experience in developing new services, creating development pathways and/or sales and marketing material.
