A global manufacturer of precision-engineered products—with a heritage spanning over a century—is seeking a Senior Production Shift Supervisor to help drive operational excellence at their flagship UK facility.

Their products play a critical role in power transmission, motion control and mechanical performance across a wide array of industries including automotive, energy, aerospace, defence, rail, recycling, and industrial automation.

This is a high-impact leadership role at the very heart of the production operation—suited to someone who thrives in a complex, fast-moving, and quality-driven environment.

🏭 About the Role:

You’ll be the senior leader on shift, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day performance of the production teams, warehouse, packing, and dispatch, with interim oversight of the site maintenance crew.

Key deliverables will include:



Leading teams to deliver on core KPIs: Schedule adherence, OTD, Utilisation, and Cost

*

Embedding a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and safety

*

Supporting and challenging a newly appointed Operations Director to raise operational standards across the site

*

Driving Lean, 5S, and performance mindset throughout the shift teams

*

Planning resources and resolving production issues in real time

✅ What You’ll Bring:

3+ years in a supervisory/leadership role within a manufacturing or engineering environment

*

Strong people management skills—able to motivate and hold teams accountable

*

A sound understanding of Lean tools, production planning, and quality systems

*

Good working knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing KPIs

*

Calm under pressure, proactive in problem solving, and confident in decision-making

*

Engineering qualifications are advantageous but not essential
