Senior Electrical Technician - EV, Motorsport & Automotive - £35k to £41k - Northamptonshire
I am seeking a a highly skilled Electrical Technician to join my clients dynamic team, my client is a High Performance Technical Consultancy that works with Global OEMS in the Automotive, EV & Motorsport sectors. Your role will be to support the Electrical & Electronics Department in a variety of tasks including harness assembly and test, assembly of electronics and test, on vehicle diagnostics and build support.
Role:Senior Electrical Technician
Salary: £35k to £41k

Key Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, service, and test production-level assemblies, following work instructions for safe and reliable assembly.
- Conduct prototype and pre-production builds to assist in the development of assembly processes and work instructions, and to resolve issues before volume production.
- Manufacture one-off prototype parts using fabrication and machining skills.
- Plan workload with the departmental manager to ensure delivery within project constraints of time, cost, and quality.
- Utilize a structured concerns process to capture and track engineering issues, ensuring efficient, accurate, and robust solutions are implemented in a timely manner.
- Understand safety implications and comply with health and safety policies, ensuring work is completed according to safe practices.
- Create and maintain build records throughout the build process.
- Support test and demonstration events for products.
- Record and undertake Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain and enhance competence in their practice area.
- Research and investigate new technologies and processes to enhance engineering capabilities.
- Familiarize with and apply relevant procedures, standards, and engineering guides to ensure work efficiency.
- Maintain an organized and safe workspace following the 5S workplace organization methodology.

Electrical HV Technician - Buckinghamshire - eVTOL / EV - £45k
One of our key clients specialising in developing technologies for the eVTOL & Aerospace sector is hiring an Electrical HV Technician to work for their business based in Buckinghamshire.
The company are expanding rapidly and are at the forefront of the technologies across this sector.
The ideal applicant will have experience in the Automotive / EV / eVTOL industries having had experience working on HV (High-Voltage) Systems and development builds. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the maintenance, repair, and commissioning of high-voltage (HV) systems, ensuring safe and efficient operations of cutting-edge EV and eVTOL technologies.
Role:Electrical HV Technician
Location:Buckinghamshire
Working Arrangement:5 days a week on site
Salary:£40k to £45k (Negotiable)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on HV electrical systems within EV and eVTOL platforms.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical faults, ensuring quick resolution to minimize downtime.
- Commission, test, and validate HV electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Work closely with engineering and technical teams to ensure efficient and safe operations of high-voltage systems.
- Follow strict health and safety guidelines, ensuring all HV systems are properly isolated and managed to prevent accidents.
- Maintain detailed records of work completed, including reports on electrical issues, repairs, and system performance.
- Support the installation and integration of HV components during vehicle assembly or upgrades.
- Stay updated on new HV technologies and industry advancements within the EV and eVTOL sectors.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as an Electrical Technician working with high-voltage systems (up to 1000V).
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, HV components, and safety protocols in EV or eVTOL applications.
- Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or equivalent technical certification.
- Knowledge of electrical fault diagnosis, repair techniques, and commissioning processes.
- Familiarity with industry regulations and best practices in HV system safety.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally to different sites for installation or repair projects.
Desirable
- Experience working in the EV or eVTOL sectors is highly advantageous.
- Additional certifications in high-voltage electrical safety (such as BS7671 18th Edition) would be beneficial.
