The Senior Communications Lead will be a strategic partner to the Future Foundations Programme, which will deliver an organisational-wide Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform. The role holder will be responsible for shaping and executing a high-impact communications strategy which supports the programme’s vision to transform services and ways of working.

This role demands a highly skilled and experienced senior communications professional with experience in leading and delivering an effective communications programme for ERP or similar implementations in large, complex organisations. The role holder should have a strong leadership presence, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to influence at executive levels.

They should also have excellent knowledge of change management practice and how the communications plan should work together effectively with change management plans to achieve support, buy in and adoption of this transformation.

As a key member of the programme leadership team, the Senior Communications Lead will ensure that communications drive clarity, alignment, and engagement across all levels of the organisation, enabling successful adoption of a new system.

This will primarily involve:

  • Providing leadership and direction to a small team of communication experts to deliver effective change communications activity across the Future Foundations programme.
  • Ensuring the infrastructure (intranets, tools, channels and processes) are in place to deliver high-quality and creative change communications and engagement.
  • Working in partnership with senior leaders to meet communications needs.
  • Providing strategic communications advice and counsel to senior leaders, including boards and committees.
  • Ensuring a high-quality change communications service is delivered on behalf of the Future Foundations programme through continuous improvement, team performance and ways of working.
  • Developing and overseeing the delivery of an effective communications strategy.
