Senior Auditor

As a Senior Auditor at Allianz Partners, you'll be part of a dynamic and high-performing Internal Audit team within a global audit community. This role offers the opportunity to engage in large-scale, cross-functional audits, allowing you to gain in-depth knowledge of the business and enhance your personal development in a multicultural work environment.

You'll work with minimal supervision, supporting the lead auditor in managing less experienced auditors and collaborating with various audit managers and Audit Practice Heads. You'll also provide context to audit findings during follow-up reviews to ensure timely implementation of recommendations. Your role may involve additional projects assigned by the Head of Internal Audit.

What you do:

As a Senior Internal Auditor, you will work in a team and support the delivery of high quality assurance work in line with our Allianz Partners Group internal audit methodology and IIA standards. This position is ideal for individuals who are inquisitive, energetic, and eager to contribute to the development and efficiency of the Internal Audit function at Allianz Partners.

  • Conduct meetings with management throughout the audit process, including opening meeting, fieldwork interviews, closing meeting, and post-audit meetings. Ensure efficient use of time through proper preparation and scheduling to respect management's availability.
  • Independently cover assigned audit areas during audit missions, including preparation, fieldwork interviews, and document validation. Analyze the root causes of identified control gaps and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Leverage your expertise in examining risk management, control, and governance effectiveness, ensuring your audit work is documented with relevant comments and properly referenced working papers. Utilize TeamMate+, our Internal Audit IT system, to maintain comprehensive and traceable documentation for each assignment, enhancing the efficiency and productivity of the audit process
  • Communicate efficiently with the audit team and business management to prepare audit findings and recommendations, ensuring they are well-supported and impactful.
  • Enhance the audit team's value by coaching junior auditors and transferring knowledge among colleagues.
  • Contribute to administrative tasks supporting the audit department, such as conducting process risk assessments for annual audit planning and preparing audit planning memorandum and work programs.
  • Develop and maintain amicable relationships with Heads of Functions in Business Units and establish relationship management with local Managing Directors.

What you bring:

  • A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Audit, with a high-energy, "can do" attitude and infectious excitement that motivates the audit team.
  • A bachelor's or higher-level degree from an accredited university, with audit professional certifications (e.g., CA, CIA, CPA) being a plus.
  • Extensive experience with interviewing techniques and a disciplined approach from past experiences in auditing, project management, and/or risk management.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office applications and a drive to explore new technologies like data mining and analytics to enhance the audit process.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel across our 40+ markets for audit missions, typically for two weeks at a time, with the role involving 30-40% international travel.
  • Ability to work across different cultures and appreciate working with a diverse team of professionals.
  • A continuous thirst for learning and curiosity about the ever-changing business environment.
  • Strong English language skills for effective communication, both written and verbal.
