As a Grade 4 Teaching Assistant at our school in Barnsley, you will offer more than classroom support. You will make connections, develop relationships and lead our pupils on the path to a bright future. This will include working under the guidance of a teacher to support the academic and personal development of children throughout the school day.This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young learners while working alongside a passionate team of educators. Some duties include:
- Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities tailored to the needs of each student.
- Support children with special educational needs, ensuring they receive appropriate care and attention.
-Help manage classroom behaviour by implementing strategies that promote positive interactions among students.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop individual education plans for students requiring additional support.
- Observe and document student progress, providing feedback to the teaching team on their development.
- Maintain a clean and organised classroom environment conducive to learning.
THE CANDIDATE
Previous experience working with children, particularly in an educational or care setting
IDEALLY experience working with children/ young people with SEN / SEND needs
MUST be educated with GCSE Math's and English or equivalent
Ability to communicate effectively with children, adapting language and approach as necessary.
SALARY/ HOURS
