gap technical are proud to be representing this global manufacturing business in their search for a Semi-Skilled Fitter to work at their facility based near Darwen
Performance Objectives

Assist in the assembly and fitting of aerospace components and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Perform basic maintenance tasks on tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
Carry out routine inspections and quality checks on assembled parts to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Work closely with skilled fitters and engineers to complete tasks efficiently and accurately.
Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Report any issues or defects identified during the fitting process to supervisors or quality control.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product quality.Person Specification

Basic mechanical knowledge and experience with hand tools and power tools.
Previous experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in the aerospace industry.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Willingness to learn and develop new skills through on-the-job training.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required by the job.Apply
