Saw Operative | Sheffield | This role will be working permanent afternoons, Monday to Thursday, 12:00pm to 8:00pm, Friday, 11:30am to 7:30pm | Salary depending on experience

Our client is the UK’s leading forge master in the oil & gas industry and has recently acquired accreditations for the Nuclear and Aerospace industries.  With 40 years’ experience in forging, they are specialists in creating bespoke products using open die methods.

We currently have an opportunity for a skilled Saw Operative to join the Saw Department, the main duties of the role include, but are not limited to: -

• Responsible for the accurate and timely cutting of all material issued
• Ensure the work area is kept clean and safe (including minor maintenance)
• Accurate processing of paperwork in line with duties
• Responsible for the accurate and timely extraction and return to stock locations, of all materials pre and post cutting, (as applicable)

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and personal attributes: -

• Previous experience of band Saw operation in the steel industry is essential
• Physically fit as some heavy lifting/bending is required
• Ability to interpret instructions (written & verbal)
• Efficiency and attention to detail is essential
• Flexible approach to working hours
• Fork-Lift licence
• Combination Side loader Licence
• Reliable with excellent time keeping
