Working in the UK sales team to manage existing accounts and develop new business within the UK alternative network FTTH Market.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Leading direct sales engagements with UK Tier 2/3 alternative network fibre broadband service providers.

• Supporting our indirect sales efforts through close cooperation and support of our UK channel partners and distributors.

• Hunter mentality, qualifying and selling to new accounts, whilst winning sales from existing customer accounts.

• Explaining complex value and technical propositions to drive sales of fibre optic cabling and connectivity solutions.

• Engaging multiple stakeholders and developing deep relationships in each set account, solution selling to multiple decision makers.

• Strong internal collaboration with supporting business functions, sales engineering, product line managers, contracts teams and delivery managers.

• Developing detailed sales plans, accurate sales forecasting, internal reporting, updating salesforce CRM systems.

• Attending and presenting at trade shows, exhibitions.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree or similar professional apprenticeship, engineering or sciences qualifications – BTEC/HND etc

• Strong technical bias and understanding of fibre optic components, hardware and networks.

• Experience gained from engineering, technical or operational roles, or from sales and marketing to the telecommunication industry (mobile/fixed line/satellite).

• Commercial acumen with a growth mindset, adept at long term relationship building.

• Understanding of the FTTH telecommunication network market, architectures and trends

• Resilience and determination, accustomed to long term sales cycles.

• Confident at engaging senior technical and engineering directors, business leaders, strong presentation skills.

• Negotiation, analytical and evaluation skills.
