South Devon | Permanent | up to £40,000 + Bonus + Benefits

On behalf of our client, a leading manufacturer of marine propulsion systems, TQR are seeking a Sales Engineer to join a growing commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a business that’s on an exciting growth trajectory, backed by a multinational group and expanding across Europe.

The Role

This is a varied and rewarding position that blends technical understanding with commercial drive. You’ll be responsible for managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations, and developing long-term relationships with clients across the marine industry. While the role is primarily office-based, you’ll also attend trade exhibitions, visit customers, and occasionally travel overseas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a healthy sales pipeline, from enquiry to close

  • Prepare technical quotations tailored to customer requirements

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and aftersales support

  • Collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams

  • Represent the company at industry events and exhibitions

    What We’re Looking For

  • A background in technical or engineering sales, ideally within the marine sector

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

  • A proactive, self-starting approach with a hunger to succeed

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • IT literacy (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel)

  • Full UK driving licence
