Are you looking for a fulfilling role in a breath taking coastal location? Join our friendly, forward-thinking team in Kilcreggan and Garelochhead, west coast village areas with welcoming communities. This is an exciting opportunity as we are building a new team of salaried General Practitioners, the first of whom has recently been appointed. There will be the opportunity to get involved in Quality Improvement Projects with a focus on enhancing the patient experience and streamlining the processes in the practices.

The villages of Kilcreggan and Garelochhead offer an excellent rural Argyll lifestyle whilst still being close to the Central Belt of Scotland.

Well-connected: Both Kilcreggan and Garelochhead are serviced by a reliable bus route to the nearest town of Helensburgh. Alternatively, take the Ferry from the historical Kilcreggan Pier to Gourock. Both Helensburgh and Gourock run regular trains to Glasgow city centre. Glasgow is only an hour drive away and Greenock is under 10-minute drive from Gourock. Both areas have large shopping facilities with high street names and brands, as well as cinemas, restaurants and bars.

Community Amenities: Each village boasts small village shops, cafes, and family-friendly pubs. With three Nursery and Primary schools serving the local areas and the secondary school in the nearest town of Helensburgh.

Family friendly – Both villages offer a variety activities, from sailing to hiking, or simply enjoying the stunning scenery. You’ll find fabulous walking trails, architecture, and plenty of outdoor activities in these welcoming villages and nearby towns.

Natural Beauty: We are nestled on the beautiful banks of the Firth of Clyde, Loch Long and the Gare Loch, with magnificent views, surrounded by stunning hills and mountains. The bonnie banks of Loch Lomond being only a 35-minute drive away.

About Our Practices

Our patient-centred practices serve a combined list size of 4,286 patients and are supported by a dynamic multidisciplinary team:

Our Team: One part-time salaried GP plus these posts, two practice nurses, one healthcare assistant, reception team and one practice manager.

Integrated Care: Work closely with in-house first contact physiotherapists, primary mental health workers, community link workers, pharmacists, paramedics, Macmillan and Marie Curie nurses, social workers and an on-site district nurse team.

Supportive Environment: Participate in regular multidisciplinary teams, peer support sessions, and cluster group meetings.

Work-Life Balance: No out-of-hours commitment, giving you time to enjoy the stunning surroundings.
