We are looking for a Maintenance Engineer on a permanent basis in North East London for a leading Rolling Stock manufacturing company.

You will carry out Fault finding and repairs on state of the art trains, with a salary of £54,900pa, the role is based on permanent Night shifts.

The successful candidate will be level 3 qualified or equivalent ideally with an electrical bias and have good fault finding experience.

This will consist of such tasks as:
 
Undertaking Fault finding and the associated repair thereof
Provides assistance and technical feedback to the management team
Observes all the rules and regulations related to health and safety practices, including a tidy workplace and disposing of substances with a high environmental impact.
Undertake and provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems.
Carry out in house repairs of unserviceable equipment to reduce waste and increase efficiency in repair times on units
Maintain stock levels and stock checks on site through booking our parts on asset management system and communications with depot management teams
Candidate profile:
 
Served a recognised apprenticeship to minimum City and Guilds / BTEC level with Mechanical / Electrical / electronic bias
Able to read electrical/mechanical schematics competently.
Ability to work in a pressurised environment and make decisions to tight deadlines.
Must demonstrate commitment to maintaining professional knowledge and ensure the depth of their specialist knowledge is maintained.
Can demonstrate a customer driven attitude focused on quality.
