What we need:
Stratasys (RPS in the UK) are seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Stereolithography R&D team based in Aylesbury, UK. This exciting role will contribute to the design and function of current and next generation products. This is a hands-on role for a motivated individual who genuinely thrives in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment. Key Responsibilities & Tasks
Project based activities, working individually and frequently as part of a team. Project planning Develop robust planning based on a problem, challenge, or hypothesis Identify necessary activities, resources, pathway, and test methodologies Produce system requirement document Plan and agree programme with other team members Determine reasoned timescales and schedule of deliverables. Testing and evaluation work Gain necessary knowledge and understanding through study Research and validate component and materials options Work with suppliers to determine or develop solutions Track and proactively revaluate plans to achieve goals and commitments Give regular process updates Implement or handover solution
Education & Qualifications
Batchelor’s degree in relevant discipline, plus 5 years’ relevant work experience Master’s degree in relevant discipline, plus 3 years relevant work experience
Skills & Competencies
Multi-discipline role – competence and experience in at least 2 of the following areas: Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Control Engineering Lasers, beam deflection and positioning Fluid transfer Inquisitive and natural desire to learn Holistic approach to problem solving Capability to quickly grasp new concepts and technologies High attention to detail Task ownership Demonstrate initiative with a flexible and adaptive approach Competent and accurate recording of results Considered and organised approach to tasks, methodical and diligent Exceptional team player with strong interpersonal skills Ability to handle several ongoing projects, and prioritise and organise own workload Capability to work autonomously and make considered decisions Hand-on capabilities
Communication
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment Ability to communicate at all levels with both internal and externals contacts Ability to present information clearly and appropriately for the audience Ability to clearly present analytical data and results
Experience (preferred):
Beckhoff or other PLC control Active interest in polymer 3D printing and materials Experience in Stereolithography, DLP, or other photopolymer 3D Printing technologies
