Main duties of the job

Job responsibilities
The post holder will act as a State Registered Radiographer and willparticipate in the provision of multi-modality imaging services to adiversity of patient presentations in a range of clinical environments
The post holder will provide an excellent standard of radiographicimaging and quality of patient care
The post holder will be a role model for the profession and willparticipate in the supervision, training and support of more junior staff
They will exercise autonomy within professional and managerialboundaries and be responsible for the prioritisation and organisation ofown work activities in response to clinical and service needs
The post is based primarily in the Radiology Department of the RoyalBerkshire NHS Foundation Trust, with rotation to satellite units at WestBerkshire Community Hospital, Townlands Hospital and the RoyalBerkshire Bracknell Healthspace
The post holder will participate in the provision of 24/7 services; toinclude weekend and evening working
Services are provided to hospital clinicians, general practitioners andother healthcare professionals including physiotherapists. Thepostholder will be required to liaise effectively with these referrers,patients and their representatives.
Person Specification
Experience
Essential
Evidence of recent and extensive post registration experience at Band 5 Proven clinical experience across a range of radiographic equipment and techniques
Desirable
Experience of staff supervision and/or training Proven clinical experience in CT imaging, and vascular & non-vascular interventional imaging
Qualifications
Essential
State Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council BSc Degree in Radiography or equivalent radiographic qualification, DCR(R) Evidence of current Continuing Professional Development activity
Desirable
Post Graduate Diploma or equivalent postgraduate experience
