Recognised for delivering technical solutions to OEM’s and end-users, the company manufacture critical components for power transmission equipment used in drive-train applications within Marine Propulsion, Mineral, Oil & Gas Extraction, Mass Transit, and Metal Processing Sectors.

Role

• Responsible for inspection and reporting on the company’s products using Static CMM and Romer Arm Machines as well as measuring tools – (Verniers and Bore Mics.)
  
  
• Ensuring compliance with customer requests including material and chemical data sheets and liaison with Team Leaders & Operatives to ensure smooth operational performance
  
  
• Conducting investigations for production non-conformances and supplier rejections and contribution to the internal and external auditing program.
  
  
• Maintaining relevant Quality Systems including calibration and inspection, together with developing product traceability processes within the business.
  
  
• Co-ordinate external testing, material returns and together with assisting with the resolution of Non-Conformances, highlighting trends and suggesting improvements.

• Should ideally demonstrate experience from within a precision engineering CNC production environment with awareness of stringent tolerances and compliance schedules.
  
  
• Understanding of manual machines should include, lathes, gear cutting, grinding and milling processes coupled with the ability to read engineering drawings.
  
  
• Appreciation of Lean Manufacturing concepts with an understanding of H&S procedures and legislation with the interpersonal skills to enhance inter-departmental communications.
