Quality Technician

Location:Swavesey, Cambridge
Salary:£26,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Hours:37.5 hours per week, day shift (08:00 - 16:00, with some flexibility)

Job Purpose:

\n

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to conduct and support our quality activities within the company. This role is crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

\n\n

Key Responsibilities:

\n
  • \n
  • Schedule and manage daily inspection workloads.\n
  • Conduct final inspections, including visual checks and hardness testing.\n
  • Review and approve calibration of test equipment.\n
  • Complete production certifications as per internal and customer requirements.\n
  • Assist with aerospace contract reviews and inward inspections.\n
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Quality Management System.\n
  • Oversee 5S initiatives and housekeeping activities.\n
\n

Requirements:

\n
  • \n
  • High school education or equivalent experience.\n
  • Proficient in IT (database use, email, Word, Excel).\n
  • Full UK driver's license (limited travel expected).\n
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.\n
\n

Additional Duties:

\n
  • \n
  • Prepare reports for the management team.\n
  • Collaborate with Sales staff on technical production issues and pricing.\n
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management.\n
\n

Desired Skills:

\n
  • \n
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience.\n
  • Forklift truck license and experience in a production environment.\n
\n

Working Environment:
This role is based in a production environment with exposure to heavy lifting equipment and process chemicals.
