Job description
Join a world leading manufacturer of rotorcraft turbines, performing level 1 to level 3 maintenance and repairs on complex helicopter engine components recognized, based at their Fareham site. Partnering with their broad, global customer base, providing both technical expertise and broader support in both the fixed wing and rotary wing markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain a robust Quality Management System to ensure current approvals and facilitate additional regulatory certifications. Lead the Quality Team, ensuring the availability of essential skills to provide comprehensive support across the business. Ensure products and services align with customer requirements, quality standards, and airworthiness authorities. Integrate Quality targets and implement strategies for continuous improvement, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and minimizing non-conformance. Act as a key member of the Management & Quality Teams, contributing to global company management goals and values. Maintain company Expositions (MOE/MOP) and serve as the primary contact for communication with civil & military airworthiness authorities. Oversee the approval process for certifying staff and issuance of their stamps. Educate all team members on customer needs, airworthiness, human factors, QRQC, and Quality requirements. Identify and champion best practices both within and outside the organization. Collaborate with Corporate Quality to address differences of opinion regarding quality standards. Support Continuous Improvement initiatives, collaborating with other managers to develop and commission improvement projects.
Job Requirements
Proficiency in PC tools and software Ability to interpret technical manuals, procedures, and instructions Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with systematic analysis capabilities. Clear communication skills at all levels Proven experience in managerial Quality or operational roles within aviation, automotive, or regulated industries Experience in aerospace/automotive processes and procedures Inspirational leadership skills to achieve results through empowerment and motivation
Desirable skills
Degree/postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline Lean Six Sigma - Green Belt Quality Control Qualification Auditor Qualification
