Oaklands Global Aviation Recruitment & Executive Search are thrilled to be recruiting an experienced Quality Manager for one of our esteemed clients in the aviation sector based in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity for a quality-focused professional with a passion for continuous improvement and maintaining the highest standards in aerospace quality management.
Key Responsibilities
Responsible for ensuring adherence to quality standards and managing a comprehensive quality management system. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of key quality standards such as ASD, CAA Part 21G, CAA Part , and EASA Part (third country approval). Reviewing, updating, and releasing quality standards, procedures, and specifications. Monitoring compliance to ensure all quality procedures align with applicable regulations. Documenting changes to quality procedures and tracking them through to approval. Managing monthly KPI reports for each department for senior management review. Leading non-conformance investigations and collaborating with relevant stakeholders. Working with external regulators, surveyors, and customers to address findings and submit corrective actions. Coordinating and managing external audits across departments to ensure timely completion. Engaging with suppliers to meet quality standards, including conducting on-site audits and bi-annual evaluations. Managing non-conformances using the 8D process (where applicable). Leading continuous improvement initiatives and conducting regulatory training for staff. Updating and maintaining the internal audit schedule and conducting audits as required. Attending meetings with top management to provide updates on quality matters. Reviewing and approving essential quality documentation, including FAIs, NCs, and concessions.
Requirements
Looking for a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with a commitment to excellence in quality standards. Must have the initiative to work independently without constant supervision. A drive for continuous improvement in systems and processes. Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong data analysis and statistical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with a conscientious and diligent approach. A minimum of 2 years’ experience in aerospace quality. Relevant quality qualifications (preferred). Lead auditor qualification (preferred).
