WHAT TO EXPECT

Join the Engines and Transmissions function of JLR, where innovation meets excellence in Powertrain Engineering whre you will play a vital leadership role in the development and application of cutting-edge Engine and Transmission Systems, along with advancing Fuel Cell technology for the entire JLR Group.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

You'll get to focus on quality management associated to engineering changes for current car engine and transmission projects, ensuring that future updates and quality improvements make a swift impact in the market. This is also an opportunity to lead a dedicated team focused on complex commodities along with overseeing the engineering support needed for aftermarket projects, providing technical input for component and engine assembly.

Linking quality improvement projects to component changes and guiding your team from component design through to part release Ensuring every design meets the highest standards Focus on minimising the time required for implementing Quality Permanent Corrective Actions and driving the throughput of releases Aligning validation processes with the Validation Team will be crucial, as will managing supplier SREA’s and addressing engineering actions Support the engine plant PVT and OTG processes, making a significant impact on our operational efficiency

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

Experience of Engine, Transmission and Component design and validation applied to the automotive industry Experience in full product lifecycle delivery; concept to production (a significant proportion of which should have been within Powertrain covering hardware, calibration and control systems) Of degree calibre with the ability to translate technical information to non technical senior leaders The ability to influence and pursuade along with the bility to resolve technical issues Proven experience of leading people working towards improved ways of working
