Our client is a renowned provider of precision components and engineering solutions, serving the aerospace, defence, oil and gas, nuclear, and commercial bronze sectors.
Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the QHSE Manager to lead quality improvement initiatives Participate in the NPI process to ensure all quality requirements are understood and implemented Generate and maintain QA documentation Conduct and support third-party supplier audits Utilise quality tools and techniques to drive continuous improvement
Quality Engineer Skills and Experience:
Proficiency in quality tools and techniques such as RCA (Root Cause Analysis), PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act), R&R (Repeatability & Reproducibility), SPC (Statistical Process Control), and 8D (Eight Disciplines Problem Solving) Comprehensive understanding of the NPI process and ability to handle its quality elements Competence in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings, including geometric tolerances Ability to create quality assurance documentation such as FAIR (First Article Inspection Report), ITP (Inspection Test Plan), and Quality Plans Preferably skilled in CMM programming (using Aberlink software) Working knowledge of PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
Qualifications:
Minimum HNC in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Production Engineering External Auditor training LEAN Six Sigma Green Belt certification
