Essential Responsibilities

  • Performs visual and dimensional measurements of purchased components using microscopes, micrometers, dial calipers, and other precision measurement equipment.
  • Inspect products using gauges, Instruments & visual at receiving inspection, in process inspection, and prior to shipment.
  • Verifies conformance of products to specifications & drawings
  • Work with cross functional procurement & operation, engineering teams to address any non-conformances.
  • Record inspection results accurately on inspection report and in databases
  • Basic understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Make acceptance or rejection decisions based on established procedures.
  • Establish appropriate inspection setups using the equipment available.
  • Follows company safety policies and procedures while ensuring quality work.
  • Tolerancing measurement techniques, with the ability to interpret engineering specifications.

Position Requirements

Education:Diploma/Engineering equivalent experience

Experience: MinimumSeven years dealing with QC for pumps and other related rotating equipment

Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:

  • Technical Capacity (Read and understand drawing/specification and use various tools and gages for inspection)
  • Organizational Skills (Stay organized in a high pace work environment)
  • Problem Solving/Analytical (Work with engineering teams to solve non-conformances as well as participate in continuous improvement and kaizen events)
  • Time Management (Manage time well to ensure productivity goals are achieved)
  • Teamwork (Willing to work with production and fellow inspectors to ensure good workflow)
