Aerospace Sales Manager (MRO)

We're seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead the strategic procurement function and drive supply chain excellence across our client's aerospace manufacturing operations. In this leadership role, you'll develop and implement strategic sourcing initiatives, manage supplier relationships, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational efficiency.
This position offers the opportunity to shape procurement strategy while working with advanced aerospace materials and technologies in a global manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans that align with business objectives
  • Lead data-driven cost and performance improvement initiatives across 17 manufacturing sites
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and negotiate Long Term Agreements
  • Collaborate with legal, technical, and financial departments to optimise supply chain operations
  • Lead the development of Supply Chain key metrics, standard work, and documentation
  • Manage cross-functional projects that drive supply chain maturity, value, and sustainability
  • Lead Continuous Improvement efforts within the procurement function
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to sourcing team members
    What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement leadership (7+ years preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills and advanced proficiency with data management tools
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems and electronic procurement platforms
  • Expert understanding of contract terms and conditions in aerospace manufacturing
  • Comprehensive knowledge of raw materials, market trends, and pricing strategies
  • Experience with traceability controls, quality requirements, and certification requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, or related field (Master's preferred)
  • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and lead in a matrix organisation environment
