Qualifications:
Working within the BGS Commercial EASA Modifications Programme Management (PM) team, as a Project Planner you will be at the heart of the BGS aircraft interior modification team, leading and delivering strategic analysis and portfolio programming for the EASA portfolio.
Collaboration will be key, as you will work with teams across the Modifications team to support successful project delivery. You’ll provide expert guidance and advice to ensure that project schedules are realistic, undertake schedule analysis, and challenge where necessary.
Responsibilities and Experience:
Work with all stakeholders in the project team to create baseline project schedules and allocate resources to ensure on time delivery Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner Analyse company portfolio plans and resourcing profiles to advise on deployment and resourcing solutions Conduct regular deployment reviews to ensure fair allocation of work for all Identify areas where the team are over allocated and cannot be levelled. Make recommendations for recruitment or sourcing additional resource internally Identifying areas for possible cross training and upskilling for individuals to improve utilisation Track, analyse, and report information appropriately to allow the project teams to manage their projects and evaluate weekly reports Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress in recognition of standards and best project practice Ensure accuracy of project schedules and perform version control Perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency plans Administer project schedule health metrics and act on results to improve schedule quality Maintain the human and project resource data to ensure the accuracy of available resources Be methodical and organised in your approach to planning Create and maintain a calendar of key events requiring resources Support the wider Programme Management team with ad hoc administrative tasks
Required experience:
This position would suit someone who has a minimum of 5 years applicable experience working within project management, project planning, or resource management and who holds a relevant degree or professional qualification.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP) will be advantageous Extensive experience in schedule planning and management Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practice Experience of using project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or MS project Experience seeing projects through the full life cycle A proficient user of all MS Office tools, in particular Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Smartsheet will be distinctly advantageous Experience using Tableau would be advantageous Excellent analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Proven ability to solve problems creatively Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to keep stakeholders informed of project timelines and changes Must have good attention to details
Flexibility in working hours may be required to support team meetings, training and coordination with our international team members.
