Project Manager | Maidstone Kent | Full Time | £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

Our client is a fast growing and successful engineering company with a full order book of projects throughout sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace, Packaging and Foundry Pattern Making.

Are you the right person for the job?

You should be confident in the management of large mechanical projects on time and to budget.
Experienced with automotive and/or aerospace engineering, including machinery manufacture such as jigs and fixtures and production tooling.
You should have a good knowledge of assembly fixtures, inspection equipment and mould design with forming and lamination tooling and upholstery design experience also an advantage.
Experience managing customer expectations with the companies best financial interests in mind.
With a background in pneumatics, hydraulics and electronics being a further advantage.
What will your role as a Project Manager/Engineer look like?

Working within a diverse range of industry sectors, you will be asked to manage both large and small projects from concept/handover phase, through CAD design and production, keeping budget and quality in mind and reporting at various phases throughout.
Direct management of customer’s requirements to ensure project concept meets customer expectations prior to delivery.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop and modify design plans, ensuring that designs meet project requirements, specifications, and standards
Review project designs at various phases before completion to ensure products meet specification and budget
Assist in identifying and resolving design-related issues and challenges that arise during the design and manufacturing process
Reporting of work in progress, planning and management of design and engineering team workload with other project colleagues to ensure efficiency and the required progress.
This is a hands-on role, where the ideal candidate will also be expected to work closely with production engineering in a workshop environment, to advise and assist with the completion of assemblies to the required specification, paying close attention to quality of product.
There are also times where the successful candidate will be expected to work off site during the commissioning phase of finished projects alongside our multiskilled engineers.
