CHELTON LIMITED, a prominent player in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Product Quality Engineer for a 12-month contract to join their innovative team. This role focuses on ensuring the highest quality in product design, specifically within the defence industry. The position demands a thorough command of quality engineering methodologies including FMEA, first article inspection, and statistical process control.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing and executing product design quality assurance processes
Running Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate potential risks
Conducting first article inspections to validate manufacturing processes
Implementing and maintaining statistical process control methods
Driving continuous improvement initiatives using Six Sigma principles
Ensuring products meet all relevant quality standards and regulatory requirements
Working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues
Compiling and analysing quality data to support decision-making processes

Job Requirements:

Proven experience in quality engineering within the defence, aerospace or anti-jamming equipment industries
Strong knowledge of design quality assurance practices and tools
Expertise in FMEA, first article inspection, and statistical process control
Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies
Understanding of ITAR restrictions and compliance requirements
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
