North American Construction Services, Ltd. is hiring a full-time Process Technician to join our team in Pinson/Birmingham, AL.

At Fives, we all have a part to play in achieving our common mission. Your role will be:

Removes burrs, sharp edges, rust, or scale from the workpiece, using file, hand grinder, or wire brush Assists machine operators in setting up machines and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished workpieces Measures workpiece dimensions using a rule, template, or other measuring instruments to determine the accuracy of machine operation Performs minor machine maintenance, such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces May rivet and spot-weld workpieces May tend machines that fabricate and assemble sheet metal products Plate and structural layout using squares, center heads, tape measure, and other measuring devices Operate hand torch, hand plasma, and track burner Operate an overhead crane and jib hoist

2+ years of related experience and training or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience reading and interpreting documents such as fabrication drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Previous experience in heavy manufacturing
