Job description
Experienced in Marine Power and Propulsion Naval Architect requirement definition, design, and equipment selection. Ability to critically evaluate a range of options to meet customer need in terms of performance, quality and cost.
Equally able to work independently, as a part of a team or leading as required. Able to take responsibility for the design of the Power and Propulsion system and set the requirements for interfacing, supporting systems.
Essential:
Experience of designing marine Power and Propulsion Systems.
Experience of Requirement setting.
Experience leading and delivering engineering design packages.
Awareness of Engineering Life Cycle Management.
Degree qualified in related engineering field.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Chartered engineer with a relevant professional body.
Desirable:
Experience designing and working with small boat power and propulsion systems.
Knowledge of the design, build, integration, support, and operation of Naval ships.
