As a Lead Data & AI Principal Architect you'll play akey role in driving technological advancements, developing ahigh-performing team, and leading successful projects in theAerospace & Defence (A&D) sector. Your expertise will shapethe future of data solutions, influencing strategy, and guidingclients through complex digital transformation journeys. You willhave the opportunity to own technical solutions, promote DXC’s Data& AI offerings, and provide strategic guidance on technologyroadmaps and business plans. Additionally, you will represent DXCat industry conferences, reinforcing our market presence. This is aremote role within the UK, with occasional travel to client sitesor company events when required. Due to the nature of our clientaccounts, SC security clearance is required and for us to obtainthis for you, you must be a sole British National that has livedand worked in the UK consecutively for the past 5 years.Unfortunately, we are unable to consider dual nationals currently.What you will be doing: Strategic Client Engagement and Leadership- Partner with senior sales leadership to drive strategicengagements, understanding client data management, compliance, andanalytics challenges in the UK Aerospace & Defence sector. -Act as a trusted advisor for C-suite executives and senior militarypersonnel, guiding them on data strategy, trends, and emergingsolutions. - Deliver impactful demonstrations and presentationsthat showcase DXC’s solutions and align with regulatory frameworksand operational goals. Solution Design and Delivery Oversight -Architect end-to-end data solutions tailored for Aerospace &Defence clients, ensuring alignment with GDPR, Defence Standards(DStan), and the Data Strategy for Defence. - Develop detailedproposals, RFP responses, and Statements of Work (SOWs),emphasizing return on investment (ROI) and measurable value. -Collaborate with technical teams to ensure the feasibility,scalability, and compliance of proposed solutions, proactivelyaddressing technical and business challenges. - Work alongsideclients, partners, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to deliverworld-class, innovative solutions. Market Leadership and IndustryExpertise - Serve as a subject matter expert in A&D datatrends, regulatory compliance, and advanced technologicalsolutions. - Conduct market analysis, providing strategic insightsthat inform product offerings and competitive positioning. -Develop and promote thought leadership content (e.g., white papers,webinars, and case studies) to reinforce DXC’s industry presence.Team Management and Cross-Functional Collaboration - Mentorpre-sales associates and solution architects, fostering skilldevelopment and ensuring high-quality client deliverables. -Collaborate with engineering, product, and compliance teams tovalidate and refine solution designs. - Ensure seamless transitionsfrom pre-sales to implementation, maintaining strong clientsatisfaction and long-term engagement. Operational Excellence andContinuous Improvement - Drive operational efficiencies bystandardizing proposal development, knowledge sharing, andsolutioning processes. - Take an active role in DXC’s Consultingand Engineering Services community guilds, contributing toinnovation and best practices. - Build and maintain relationshipswith key defence institutions and contractors, leveraging insightsto refine service offerings and identify growth opportunities.Qualifications and Experience: - Bachelor’s degree in ComputerScience, Information Systems, or a related field (Master’s or MBApreferred). - Proven track record in pre-sales, solutioning, or arelated role, with a strong focus on Aerospace & Defence. -Proven engineering/manufacturing engineering experience in A&Dsolutions. - Demonstrated success in managing large, complex clientengagements and developing long-term relationships in the UKdefence sector. Must Have Skills & Competencies: DomainExpertise & Technical Leadership - Extensive knowledge of dataarchitecture, governance, analytics, and integration withinAerospace & Defence. - Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS,Azure, GCP) and analytics tools, with familiarity in AI-drivendefence solutions. - Knowledge of Defence Data Systems, BusinessIntelligence (BI) platforms, and ETL processes. Sales &Solutioning Expertise - Strong storytelling and communicationskills to bridge the gap between technical and businessstakeholders. - Expertise in creating compelling proposals,presentations, and technical documentation that highlightmeasurable business value and compliance adherence. - Ability totranslate complex client challenges into innovative, practicalsolutions. Industry Knowledge & Strategic Insight - Soundunderstanding of UK defence structures, including key frameworksand regulatory drivers. - Familiarity with emerging trends in dataanalytics and artificial intelligence for defence applications.Leadership & Collaboration - Strong interpersonal and teamleadership skills, with experience in managing cross-functionalteams. - Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuringalignment across teams for successful solution delivery. PreferredSkills & Experience: - Experience working with UK defenceorganizations or related industries (e.g., OEMs, defencecontractors, MoD, NATO). - Certifications in data privacy,security, or regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, MoD securityframeworks). - Knowledge of AI-driven analytics and machinelearning applications in the defence sector.
