In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.

Supporting the Sales, Engineering, Programmes and IPT members, the PMO Specialist – Cost and Risk will assist in the definition and deployment of Cost and Risk & Opportunity Management related Methods and Tools aligned with the Financial processes, covering a diverse range of activities that support departmental governance and contribute to the delivery of project objectives.

Key Responsibilities will include:
1. develop and maintain solutions involving tools in a Sales, Engineering and Programmes environment, with the objective of improving performance through innovation, and monitor evolving technologies
2. improve the efficiency of program and project execution for all users (taking account of the constraints associated with workshops on supplier premises), with a focus on harmonizing and standardizing processes, methods and tools
3. coordinate the solution rollout workflow and maintain solutions already in place
4. manage method and tool configurations as well as their design documentation
5. ensure data is backed up in liaison with IT, management control and the departments concerned
6. develop solutions involving tools in an engineering environment for performance monitoring (KPIs)
7. provide user support and act as the interface with the IT department
8. contribute to the maintenance of solutions already deployed (solution mapping) and their renewal (investments, purchases)
9. implement a continuous improvement plan in line with industry standards for project management methods, in accordance with the company's continuous process improvement system

Job Requirements

Ideally Educated to degree level in a STEM subject
Project management experience / qualification (awareness of planning / scheduling, technical & financial aspects, risks)
Managing risks and opportunities for project and PMO
Controlling processes, reference systems and tools
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially EXCEL
Experience of data management, analysis and the preparation of reports & presentations
Knowledge and understanding of Cost Monitoring and Control Principles
