Payroll technician (f/m/d)
Responsibilities & Qualifications
In this role you are part of our HR team responsible for two locations in the UK and report directly to the HR Manager.
What awaits you:
You manage and execute the end-to-end payroll for approximately 250 colleagues You have demonstrable experience in all aspects of payroll and deductions for employees, including (but not exhaustive of) auto-enrolment; SMP; SSP; P11D processing; cycle to work schemes; overtime; new starters and leavers; maintain month-end and year end processes You monitor, resolve and escalate issues relating to payroll and pensions You maintain accurate payroll records and reports You liaise with auditors, assisting as necessary and providing information when required You ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations and legislation You have experience of working with an outsourced payroll provider
How you convince us:
You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience of working as a payroll technician Knowledge of ADP iHCM and ADP Realtime (time and attendance) would be advantageous; You have the ability to communicate with all colleagues, regardless of position; and third parties in a professional and timely manner; You will be computer literate in Microsoft Office and Teams You have the motivation, knowledge and experience to run payroll independently from the start) Willingness to help support other HR roles when required to process HR administration

Location Profile
The Novelis Latchford plant a suburb of Warrington Cheshire in England employs approximately 200 employees. It is one of Europe’s largest aluminium used beverage cans recycling plants and Europe’s largest closed-loop recycling operation for automotive aluminium rolled products with an annual recycling capacity of up to 195000 tonnes. The plant is an essential part of Novelis’ European production and collaborated with Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) to create the first closed-loop system in Europe with a dedicated railway service to efficiently deliver aluminium between Novelis and JLR’s production site in the UK. The Latchford plant is committed to its community in supporting math and science education to local schools as well as sharing the value of safety and works with a local charitable foundation to sponsoring health. In addition Novelis UK supports the program “Every Can Counts” to actively promote can recycling across Europe.
