Payroll and Project Coordinator

We are March……… the UKs leading provider of critical engineering services. Our expertise as a multi-disciplinary engineering partner across infrastructure, process and digital services has led to long term partnerships with leading organisations in everything from food and drink and utilities to high-security industries such as defence, aerospace and nuclear. 

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Payroll and Project Coordinator to manage payroll processing and support project coordination activities. This dual-role position ensures accurate and timely payroll execution while also assisting in the set up and implementation of our new payroll system. 

Key Responsibilities 

Payroll Administration

•    Process weekly/monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with legislation, pay agreements and company policies.

•    Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation.

•    Coordinate with HR and Finance to ensure accurate statutory deductions, and other payroll-related entries are processed.

•    Prepare payroll reports and reconcile discrepancies.

•    Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions.

Project Coordination

•    Assist in planning and scheduling project timelines and deliverables.

•    Track project progress and update stakeholders on milestones and deadlines.

•    Maintain documentation and work with the team to set up, test and implement new payroll.

•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met on time.

Skills and Experience

•    Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

•    Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

•    Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.

Specific Qualifications

•    2+ years of experience in payroll processing.

•    Proficiency in payroll software.
