Product Engineering at JLR is centred on innovation and creativity. From advanced driver assistance systems to developing the future of electric propulsion, the opportunities to create exceptional experiences for the future of motoring are wide-ranging. You'll work alongside industry experts to drive product strategy, manage programs, analyse performance, and lead transformation initiatives. Exceptional careers that bring world-renowned vehicles to life start here.

Join JLR as an NVH Engineer – Electrified Propulsion!

We’re seeking a talented NVH Engineer to help define the sound and feel of our next-generation electrified vehicles. This is your chance to work on cutting-edge propulsion systems in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where innovation thrives and your ideas can drive real change.

You’ll play a key role in delivering NVH attributes for Electric Drive Units (EDUs) across all vehicle platforms—from concept to production. The role covers both in-house and externally sourced EDUs, torque transfer systems, and full-vehicle NVH development. You’ll work hands-on with rigs, test cells, and vehicles, collaborating with design, Powertrain, and CAE NVH teams to optimise performance using both physical and virtual tools.

We’re looking for a practical problem-solver with experience in LMS data analysis and familiarity with tools like 8D. You’ll be confident interpreting and presenting technical data, and adaptable enough to manage multiple workstreams—from detailed engineering to programme-level oversight. A passion for electrification and a keen eye for refinement will set you apart.

WHAT TO EXPECT

As part of the team, you’ll be involved in a number of core activities that contribute to the success of the department, such as –

  • Support the development and delivery of Electrified Powerpack NVH attributes, including benchmarking, target setting, issue resolution, verification testing, and overall project planning
  • Conduct NVH measurements, analyse data, and report findings in line with project quality, cost, and timing requirements
  • Collaborate with component engineers, test engineers, CAE specialists, and suppliers to carry out NVH activities effectively
  • Present results, conclusions, and next steps to senior NVH team members, departmental managers, and technical specialists
  • Lead and support NVH testing across components, systems, and full vehicles, ensuring robust and reliable outcomes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of NVH processes, tools, and standards, helping to shape departmental best practices
  • Apply Agile methodologies in daily work, including stand-ups, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and sprint planning, while managing tasks through MBI and Story delivery

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a solid background, relevant certifications, and the following key skills –

  • Solid understanding of NVH principles and their application in automotive engineering
  • Strong ability to plan, organise, and execute measurements or experiments effectively
  • Clear and confident communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Capable of working independently, collaboratively within a team, and leading small teams when needed
  • Hands-on experience with NVH measurement and analysis tools such as Brel & Kjr and LMS
  • Skilled in interpreting data, drawing conclusions, and presenting findings clearly
  • Familiarity with structured problem-solving techniques like Root Cause Analysis and 8D

Creating Modern Luxury requires a modern approach to work. At JLR, hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement providing employees more choice and flexibility around how, when and where they work. Some roles require more on-site work, but details of this can be discussed with the hiring manager during the interview stage.

We work hard to nurture a culture that is inclusive and welcoming to all. We understand candidates may require reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process. Please discuss these with your recruiter so we can accommodate your needs.

Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome. If you’re unsure that you meet the full criteria of a role – but you're interested in where it could take you – we still encourage you to apply. We believe in people's ability to grow and develop within their role – it’s what makes living the exceptional with soul possible.

JLR is committed to equal opportunity for all.
