You’ll be responsible for proactively responding to alarms, minimising service outages. You’ll promptly perform necessary actions to restore service during degradation or outage conditions. You’ll escalate incidents as per procedures and effectively communicate with stakeholders. You’ll conduct regular checks on systems and services to ensure reliability. You’ll monitor distress traffic in the network and take immediate action if needed. You’ll identify opportunities for automation to enhance efficiency. You’ll actively contribute to continuous improvement by presenting ideas and creating efficient operational and technical processes. You’ll provide support, coaching, and training to other engineers and teams. Good understanding of satellite communication networks, systems, and propagation. Knowledge of VSAT, Ka-band, L Band, and C bands. Familiarity with digital communication networks, protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, routing), and architecture (routers, switches, firewalls). Starting salary of up to £38,000. 40% Shift allowance + 10.5% bonus.
