Job description
POSITION SUMMARY
Conduct ultrasonic testing on composite assemblies, ensuring products align with customer acceptance criteria and are produced in accordance with relevant manufacturing instructions and/or specifications. Execute other assigned activities as required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop ultrasonic testing techniques. Generate inspection and Non-Conformance Reports. Maintain test records and analysis results for traceability and proficiency demonstration. Ensure adherence to agreed safety procedures/guidelines when using test equipment and procedures. Provide support to NDT, Quality, and operations functions, promoting a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Hold current certification to EN4179 Level 2 in UT (Ultrasonic Testing). Preferred experience with composite materials and the aerospace industry. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong practical skills with high manual dexterity. Excellent concentration, attention to detail, and a methodical approach. Well-organised with the ability to manage various activities and priorities. Capacity to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and maintain records. Computer literate, with proficiency in Windows-based systems. Must be reliable, able to work independently, and collaboratively within a team.
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is mandatory for this role and must be upheld. Please be aware that failure to obtain BPSS clearance may render you ineligible for the role, and any employment offer could be withdrawn based on national security grounds.
