Requirements Management Engineer
Job Profile:
In this role, you will be working on fulfilment of a significant business need through a strategic and collaborative approach. This role in Mission Systems will provide a broad understanding of our Engineering / Avionics activities and offer the opportunity to interface with many of the Business functions and engineering disciplines that are necessary to design and develop the 6th Generation Systems of System platforms of one of the pioneers in this Defense Aerospace industry.
Current focus on technology development has generated the requirement for a Systems Engineer, with Requirements Management experience, to join the Quest Global Misson Systems team. Your role will include supporting interface into other parts of our customer organisation and supplier base to manage Requirements across the customer and their supplier organisations.
The roles and responsibilities include:
Understanding our customers’ challenging needs and undertaking requirements elicitation and communication Leading, facilitating and supporting the requirements elicitation & change management process Analysing and reporting out on requirement change impact Supporting assurance of functionally coherent designs Supporting design certification process Supporting new systems development through implementation of best practice systems requirements management and lifecycle processes Own the tasks assigned and be accountable for the quality of deliverables. Writing technical report including system requirements, design specifications, test plans and reports
Technical Skills:
The candidate is expected to have a good knowledge in the following areas:Rounded Systems Engineering experienceExperience of the full Systems Engineering lifecycle Electronics & Avionics experience is keySignificant experience in Requirements elicitation and management and/or design certification and acceptance of complex products and systems and experience of using requirements management tools (DOORs) Understanding of relevant engineering standards, including safety and environmental regulations
Desirable:
Experience undertaking other Systems Engineering activities. This should include some combination of:Requirements Engineering and Management (DOORS)Systems Architecting via Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) (Sparx Enterprise Architect, Cameo, UML, SysML, MoDAF, NAF, UAF)Implementing and Governing Engineering LifecyclesDefining and managing System interfaces
Soft Skills:Excellent communication skills and customer interaction skills.Good Verbal and written English skills. Good Team playerAbility to work independently, being pro-active, communicate effectively understand the problem, use engineering judgment to simplify the problem, interact with stakeholders
Software Skills:DOORS and other requirement Software
Candidate’s Profile:
/ B Tech. /M Tech. / (Aeronautical/Mechanical) with 5 years or more of experience in the relevant industry, preferably aircraft industry experience.
