The Weekend Mission Controller plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the self-storage facility.

This multifaceted position involves a wide range of

responsibilities, from administrative tasks to customer service and site

maintenance.

The Weekend Mission Controller must possess excellent

organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate

effectively with customers, colleagues, and external partners. They are

responsible for creating a positive experience for customers while maintaining

the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

Space Program Management:

Ensure a welcoming and safe environment for customers and visitors.

Greet and assist customers, addressing their enquiries and needs

promptly.

Handle customer emails and calls, managing reservations, bookings,

and enquiries.

Maintain an organized calendar and manage appointments effectively.

Collaborate with the rest of The Space Program team, providing

support and guidance as needed.

Site Maintenance:

Perform regular site walk rounds to identify and address any

maintenance or cleanliness issues.

Clean and maintain the restroom facilities and take necessary

actions for any issues.

Conduct litter picking and other cleaning tasks to maintain the

site's appearance.

Ensure proper waste management by checking bins and the letterbox

regularly.

Monitor security measures, including CCTV and the site's access

control system.

Customer Service and Sales:

Assist customers in renting storage units, preparing necessary

documentation, and completing the hire process.

Provide quotes and follow up with new inquiries via emails and

calls.

Show potential customers around the site and explain the rental

process and essential guidelines.

Handle customer payments, record them, and update the necessary

databases.

Address and resolve customer queries, complaints, and issues promptly.

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate records of all rentals and off-hires.

Update the site's Excel sheet with customer information and monthly

sales data.

Oversee the inventory of packing materials, and other items

available for sale.

Facility Maintenance and Repairs:

Monitor the condition of rental units and arrange for any necessary

repairs or maintenance.

Coordinate with contractors and Operations Team for maintenance and

health & safety issues.

Perform basic maintenance tasks, such as cleaning containers and

filling pot holes if needed.

Monitor and address any site appearance issues, including sign

placement and cleanliness.

Financial Management:

Process and record payments accurately.

Handle excess charges if applicable.

The Mission Controller plays a pivotal role in ensuring the

facility's day-to-day operations run smoothly, providing exceptional customer

service, and maintaining a safe and well-organized storage environment. Their

dedication to managing various tasks, addressing customer needs, and ensuring

the site's overall efficiency is essential to the success of the self-storage

business.
