We’re looking for an experienced, competent engineering professional who can adapt to various challenging technical scenarios and provide comprehensive solutions to customers. A proactive team player capable who is good in front of clients, whilst being technically competent. A background in mechanical or science is a must, and metrology experience is vital. 

Job Purpose

-        Manages and delivers client metrology projects on time, to a high technical standard and to the satisfaction of Sempre clients. 
-        Underpin Sempre’s position as a technically excellent as a metrology solutions provider through delivery of equipment demonstrations and technical proposals.
-        Support the sale and implementation of metrology equipment and projects through pre and post sales work. 


Key Responsibilities

-        Developing and delivering metrology solutions to Sempre’s client base in medical, automative and Aerospace applications. 
-        Designing and developing metrology fixtures, producing engineering drawings and manufacturing data. Testing and producing robust, reproducible metrology programs to clients.
-        Owning and running custom projects, developing solid delivery plans, managing customer expectations, organizing and coordinating with service and operations team for smooth delivery. 
-        Solving technical challenges which arise in projects with support from the team, proactively and with urgency.
-        Work with the sales team to deliver on-site and in-house demonstrations of Sempre’s portfolio of metrology systems and develop a solution based on the outcome the customer requires. 
-        Coordinate with other Technical Delivery Team members.


Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications

-        Bachelors / Masters in Mechanical Engineering or relevant science. 

Essential 

-        2 - 5 years working as a metrologist, metrology applications engineer, or quality engineer. 
-        Working metrology knowledge, including calibration uncertainty, Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning (GD&T) and Measurement Systems Analysis.
-        Programming metrology Systems e.g. CMMs, vision systems. 
-        Strong problem solving skills to deal with the challenging technical demands of clients. 
-        Project management knowledge 
-        Strong organisation and communication
-        Proficient in Solidworks or similar CAD package.
-        Clean full driving license.

Desirable

-        Robotics or industrial automation experience. 
-        Software and programming experience.
-        Commercial awareness
-        Mechanical design of Metrology Fixtures
