SCP Metal Finishing near Horsham provide high quality, skilled manual metal polishing, parts finishing, deburring, bead blasting and vibratory finishing services for a variety of high end clients across the south. Parts range from small intricate machined pieces for the aerospace and superyacht industry to large architectural installations.

Due to recent increases in demand, we are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our highly skilled team of metal polishers.


The role is available immediately as either part time, full time or self employed basis

SCP operate at the highest level of metal finishing with customers including McLaren, Emirates and Belmond hotels so in the role of metal polisher you would be expected to:

  • Create bespoke finishes as per customer requirements
  • Achieve flawless mirror finishes on stainless steel and brass
  • Be able to interpret fabrication drawings accurately
  • Work at pace while maintaining standards
  • Have an eye for detail and commitment to quality
  • Work well within a small team and contribute to all workshop tasks and housekeeping
  • Be able to achieve specific Ra surface profiles in an efficient manner

Mandatory requirements :

  • 5 years experience as a professional metal polisher, with references
  • Own transport due to rural location
  • Good eyesight with ability to focus on very small details
  • Willingness to learn and constantly progress
  • Be punctual, professional and polite


Remuneration

  • up to 40 hrs / week
  • Mon - Fri
  • £15-£20ph depending on experience / contract type
  • Holiday pay
  • Free on site parking
  • All PPE provided
  • Overtime at increased rate when available


All candidates who pass the initial interview will be expected to attend a 1 day unpaid trial but travel costs will be covered.
