Job Description

The Role

We are looking for aMechanical Design Engineerto join our team in Bristol, working on a hybrid basis with a leading aerospace customer. You will be involved in producing 3D models and 2D technical drawings, contributing to the design of complex mechanical systems used in aerospace and potentially space applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and update3D models and 2D drawings
  • UseCATIA V5 or CATIA V6 (3DEXPERIENCE)for mechanical design work
  • Work withinWindchill PLMto manage documentation and configurations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems and manufacturing
  • Ensure designs meet industry and internal quality standards


Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required: 

  • Bachelor’s degreein Mechanical Engineering or a related field –mandatory
  • Minimum 2 yearsof experience in mechanical design –mandatory
  • Proficient inCATIA V6 (3DEXPERIENCE)mandatory
  • Experience withWindchill PLMmandatory
  • Background inAerospace or Automotiveengineering –mandatory
  • Experience in theSpacesector is a plus
  • Must be eligible forBPSS clearance
