Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for a technically engaging role that offers long-term stability, involvement in complex engineering projects, and the opportunity to work within a highly experienced design team? You'll be working as a Mechanical Design Engineer, taking ownership of mechanical design activities from concept through to detailed design and manufacture. The role offers a strong balance of hands-on design work and collaborative project involvement, working closely with fellow design engineers, manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers.

Your Role As a Design Engineer Will Include:

  • Creating mechanical design concepts, layouts, and engineered solutions
  • Producing 3D models and detailed manufacturing drawings to ISO and/or ASME standards
  • Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BoMs) and technical documentation
  • Performing engineering calculations to verify and validate designs
  • Participating in internal and customer-facing design reviews
  • Liaising with suppliers and manufacturers to support cost-effective and efficient production
  • Supporting projects through the full design lifecycle from concept to delivery
  • Working in line with company procedures, quality systems, and engineering standards

    As a Design Engineer You Will Have:

  • A Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or similar)
  • Experience with Siemens NX
  • A solid understanding of mechanical engineering design principles and analysis
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as machining, fabrication, welding, or additive manufacturing
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team
  • Good organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
  • A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
