Our client, is a leading special purpose engineering cutting tool manufacturer, supplying high-quality broach tools to the Aerospace and Automotive sectors. With a reputation for engineering excellence and continued growth, they are now seeking a Mechanical Technical Design Engineer to join their team in Leicester.

The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering design, strong 2D/3D CAD skills (preferably Autodesk Inventor), and hold at least an HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering.

What's involved for the Mechanical Technical Design Engineer…

Create design layouts for quotation purposes
Develop detailed technical designs and specifications based on customer enquiries
Produce 2D and 3D CAD drawings using Autodesk Inventor
Assist with technical support and root cause analysis
Support production teams with technical queries
Collaborate with the wider team to ensure smooth project deliveryWhat you'll need…

HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
Proven experience in an engineering design role
2D & 3D CAD experience - ideally Autodesk Inventor
Previous experience in a Precision Engineering environment is a bonus
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
