Mechanical Design Engineer | Bournemouth | £45,000

Are you aMechanical Design Engineerlooking for an opportunity to work on innovative aerospace projects? Do you thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment where precision, quality and compliance are key?

As aMechanical Design Engineer, your purpose will be to developnew concepts and customise existing productsto meet customer and regulatory requirements. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll ensure that designs are airworthy, cost-effective and optimised for manufacturing.

  • Producing3D models and technical drawingsto strict regulatory standards
  • Ensuring all designs are suitable formanufacturing and airworthiness
  • Supporting production by troubleshootingbuild issues
  • Contributing tocontinuous improvementinitiatives to enhance design and engineering processes

As aMechanical Design Engineer, your skills and experience will include:

  • Experience inmechanical designwithin a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge ofcomposite and metallic materialsand manufacturing processes
  • Proficiency in2D & 3D CAD software(training provided)
  • Strongproblem-solvingandcommunication skills
  • A degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification inmechanical or aerospace engineering
