Division info:

The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.

Summary of position:

The Materials Handler will be responsible for Goods in; Receipt of all Materials, Forgings, Ancillary items, and Dispatching; Packing and protecting of all out going parts in line with appropriate specifications.

Main responsibilities:

•Material Receipt – Free Issue and Purchased parts
•Visual receipt of stock along with understanding of C of C ensuring requirement are met.
•Labelling of Stock and controlling all Stock Storage including Preservation
•Upkeep of bonded areas.
•Stamping and distribution of incoming paperwork
•Route Card Discipline in line with company procedures
•Packing of all sub-contact work,
•Packing of all finished goods to customer requirements – including labelling
•Sorting of all test pieces for heat-treat - always maintaining traceability.
•Moving of parts to next operation.
•Unloading of materials from Vehicles
•Receiving and Storing of all Materials in-line with procedures
•Issue of all Materials in a timely manner to route cards, issue to shop
•Maintain clean safe area.
•Ensuring all POD paperwork for deliveries are scanned and stored for retrieval.
•Improvements & lean activities

Qualifications:

•Computer literacy - emails, excel, word, ERP systems
•Full Driving License essential
•Experience of goods in and Logistics within aerospace environment
•Forklift License
•Self-starter
•Flexible
•Able to work under own initiative
•Able to work to tight time scales
•Committed to achieving success
•Excellent team player
•Amenable to change.
