We are currently seeking highly motivated and skilled candidates to join the team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a reputable global airline.

The Maintrol team operates 24/7, and the successful candidates will be required to work in shifts, including 8-hour shifts (Early, Late, and Night shifts) and 12-hour shifts (Day and Night shifts).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Aircraft Recovery Coordination: Oversee and coordinate working parties involved in the recovery of (Aircraft on Ground) aircraft worldwide, ensuring their safe, efficient, and expedient return to service. This includes managing the welfare of recovery teams.
  • Aircraft Monitoring & Prognostics: Proactively utilise aircraft monitoring and prognostic tools to improve aircraft and engineering performance.
  • Safety & Defect Analysis: Analyse safety reports and address repetitive defects, ensuring compliance with technical, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • On-Site Technical Support: Provide specialist technical support on-site as required, considering safety, technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
  • Data Provision: Source and provide approved technical data necessary for the safe maintenance, repair, or modification of aircrafts, engines, components, and products.
  • Technical & Cost Performance: Follow established technical procedures to meet aircraft, engine, and component performance targets, with a focus on safety, cost efficiency, and continuous improvement of technical performance.
  • Business Development & Change Support: Support business development and change initiatives that align with the broader business plan.
  • Technical Decision Making: Facilitate optimal technical decision-making across the team and lead technical discussions with other departments, balancing expertise with business considerations.
  • Line Station Coordination: Support and coordinate activities at line stations to minimise technical delays and ensure prompt AOG recovery.
  • Aircraft Performance Improvement: Continuously analyse repetitive defects, aircraft reliability, and safety data to improve aircraft performance and operational efficiency.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • Strong project management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, particularly in high-pressure environments.
  • Proficiency in report writing and contributing to business planning.
  • Customer-driven mindset with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making abilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to adapt to and manage change effectively.
  • High level of business awareness, with experience working in operational teams.
  • Experience in supplier management and fostering strong relationships with external partners.
  • In-depth knowledge of aircraft systems, structures, and materials, particularly in mechanical and avionics systems.
  • Ability to hold CAA / EASA approvals
  • HNC / HND or equivalent qualification in Aerospace Engineering.
  • Recognised Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
  • B1 / B2 Licence (without Type rating).
  • Ability to hold and exercise EASA Part 145 Technical Engineer / Part 21 CCE or CVE approvals as required for the role.
