SUMMARY:

Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) is looking to hire Licensed Aircraft Engineers with Type Ratings (A320, A330, A350, A380 & B787, B777, B737) Avionics/Aviation Engineer to join our corporate team of experts to test, repair and ensure the continued performance of our IFE (In-Flight Entertainment) systems for some of the most recognized commercial airlines across the globe.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

As a Licensed Aircraft Engineer / Maintenance Services Representative, you will be using your license and acquired skills to perform line maintenance on aircraft inside and outside of the cabin. Responsibilities will include maintenance of Airframe, Powerplant and In-Flight Entertainment/Connectivity systems as assigned by maintenance schedule.

THE JOB:

Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and alterations to Panasonic Avionics Corporation (PAC) In-flight Entertainment Systems on aircraft subjected to UK CAA Regulations.

Aircraft/IFE Maintenance and Support

Perform built-in test (BIT) and manual test of Panasonic Avionics Corporation IFE systems. Troubleshoot electronic units, cabling or seat consoles in which failures occur down to the line replaceable modules, using knowledge of electronic theory. Identify necessary repairs to restore functional acceptance, which may require the removal and replacement of defective line replaceable modules and/or cabling. Perform maintenance checks on Customer aircraft for various airlines Operate a vehicle on airport property and around aircraft. Operate airline communications equipment. Communicate and interface with customers. Document the testing and repairs using computer and bar-coding equipment. Assist in tracking the spare inventory. Perform other related duties as assigned by immediate supervisor or upper management.

WHAT IS REQUIRED:

Must have a B1 (with or without type) B2 license with type rating (one of the following: A320, A330, A350, A380, B737. B747, B777, B787) Must be able to pass a 5-year background check and reference checks Must have a valid driver's license. Must be open to shift work. General knowledge of fundamental electrical Engineer or related experience acquired through commercial aviation, military experience or technical school education is highly preferred, but not required. IFE or avionics experience is highly preferred, but not required. Must have the ability to climb and work from ladder or platform, and endure sitting, standing, bending or twisting for extended periods. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to operate under extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces for extended periods. Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions, procedures, blueprints, diagrams, manuals and to comprehend and follow verbal instruction in English. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
