Our client are a market leading Tier 1 Automotive manufacturer, they are seeking a maintenance engineer to join their team on a 3 – shift pattern. The company offer a great work environment and supply into a huge variety of automotive OEM’s


Key Responsibilities – Maintenance Engineer

  • Prioritise the maintenance activities whether breakdowns or corrective.
  • Direct & support resources to respond to breakdowns effectively.
  • Carry out corrective and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Carry out tasks as identified on maintenance / improvement request.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are recorded accurately.
  • Attend daily production meeting & feedback daily requirements.
  • Ensure all plant & equipment that is planned for TPM is made available, where practical.
  • Update annual maintenance plan.
  • Maintain spare parts stores & ensure all expenditure is recorded & within agreed budgets.
  • Ensure all work carried out on machine or equipment is recorded on standard report format.
  • Oversee comprehensive shift handover of information.
  • Identify whether specialist help is required to support a task.
  • Liaise with external suppliers to complete these tasks as required.
  • Maintain library of manuals and drawings.


Qualifications & Experience – Maintenance Engineer

  • Work on equipment to fault find and correct problem.
  • Call out specialist/contractor help when required.
  • Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic & Pneumatic
  • Plastic Injection Moulding – Tooling maintenance, cleaning & insert changes (250 to 1750Tonne)
  • Experience of PLC fault finding & programming.
  • Multi-skilled electrical and mechanical.
  • Qualification in electrical or mechanical discipline.
  • Overhead Crane licence
  • 17th edition regulations
