Late shift - Monday - Thursday

£19-22ph inc shift allowance

CNC Machinists urgently required to work for a world leading engineering business based near Aldershot, You will be part of a skilled team of machinists working a Late shift, Monday to Thursday finishing at midnight.

We are looking for people with either CNC (preferably turning), grinding or cutting experience, The role will be operating/setting level - not programming. Training will be provided however you need to have a reasonable amount of experience in one of those fields.

The role will involve operating various machines to produce precision spec components for clients in the aerospace and automotive industry, with the main focus on performing deburring processes including setting up, preparation of materials and tools, and operating machinery that grinds, smooths and buffs aerospace parts, ensuring they are conforming to drawing and specification.

We will consider Graduates and also offer a Relocation package!!

Shifts:

Initial training period on Days then moving to Late Shift - 2.30pm-12am Monday to Thursday, with lots of overtime on offer!

Key Responsibilities:

Operate various cnc machines, preferably turning), grinding or cutting
Aid / Change machine setting from one job to another within a set time frame.
Deburr and hand finish parts to bring them to the desired shape and dimensions, in accordance with the design specifications as required by using established procedures, machines and tooling - training will be provided to cover all areas including fettling, polishing, part marking, etc.
Ability to read and understand drawings.
Change and adjust machine parameters and tooling as required to meet dimensional and output requirements.
Able to use micrometers, verniers and other inspection equipment to check work to drawing dimensions and validation sheets.
Setting and running multiple machines when the component and/or batch sizes allow.
Meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection and checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards.
Deal with technical queries where possible, as and when required.Skills and Qualifications/experience:

3 - 5 years' relevant experience in a similar industry/role.
The ability to use a range of measuring equipment.
Good math and technical skills.
To be a quick learner and adaptable to change.
