We are offering an exciting opportunity for an engineering specialist with industry and classroom experience to join the School of Engineering. The post holder will teach and assess on a range of apprenticeship programmes, providing inspirational teaching and assessment for candidates to achieve a high level of occupational competence against apprenticeship standards within the school. The post holder will work with apprentices to instil the necessary skills, knowledge, behaviours required in their occupation. The post holder will also coach and mentor apprentices towards completion of their EPA, ensuring they are ready for completion.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Level 4/5 Electrical and/or Engineering qualification

  • Relevant Level 5 teaching qualification (or committed to work towards in line with contractual requirements)

  • Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment, or D32 and/or D33 or A1 and/or A2 (as appropriate to Aerospace Engineering)

    An Award in Internal Quality Assurance of Assessment Processes and Practice

    or equivalent is desirable.
