We are seeking to appoint a permanent post as Lecturer in Experimental Aerospace Engineering, to help develop and contribute to teaching, research, and knowledge exchange within the School of Engineering.

This role presents a fantastic opportunity to shape multidisciplinary Aerospace Engineering education. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and leading cutting-edge modules in Aerospace Engineering and Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies, providing mentorship to staff and students, and contributing to research initiatives and external collaborations.

We are particularly interested in candidates with a strong academic background and deep expertise in thermofluids and aerodynamics. Significant experience in designing and conducting practical experiments in aerospace or related fields, both for teaching and research, is essential.

Individuals with a research-oriented mindset will have the opportunity to explore their passions in Aerospace and Aviation, contributing to scholarly activities. Candidates with a research portfolio or clear plans to develop one are encouraged to apply.

We require candidates with a diverse skill set and strong expertise in experimental thermofluids and aerodynamics, capable of guiding students through core concepts of Aerospace Engineering and Pilot Studies. For industry professionals, a qualification equivalent to degree level or above, with relevant experience in Aerospace and Aviation, is required. A teaching qualification and higher education teaching experience are advantageous.

Evidence of continuous professional development in relevant areas is expected. The appointee will be part of a team supporting delivery of aerospace and pilot studies modules.
